Fashion, the Super Bowl and Paris Hilton

I am so excited! I know that a few weeks have passed, but I am still in awe of the amazing things that have been happening in my life. I began designing just 2 years ago. I have always been creative but had never ventured into apparel. I believe that every step we take brings us one step close to our next vision in life... and I am so blessed to be right here! Right now! Fitrou, a boutique in Scottsdale, Arizona has been avid fans since the beginning. It was through her (Tanya) that I was offered the opportunity to present my line with www.iRepresentFashion.com in the Hanes Style Villa (hosted by Cuba Gooding Jr.) at Hotel Indigo during Super Bowl 2008. I had 2 weeks to put things together. Now, for those of you who don't know, whatever you place there, it is "shopped" by media and celebrities at no expense to them... what do I get out of it? Photo's of the "said celebrities" in my gear! Woo Hoo! So....37+ pieces later (adult hats, men's shirts, a variety of women collection and a spattering of kids) as a designer, let me tell you, it was very difficult to hand everything over and not know how it was being displayed or anything. Friday, February 1st is here... and they begin shopping at Noon. How was it going? Did they like what I have? Seriously, it was probably one of the toughest things... not knowing. 4 P.M. hits... my phone rings... it's Shanna (the owner of iRepresentFashion.com).. keep in mind, I hadn't met her, "Hi Cheryl!, just wanted to let you know your stuff is just blowing out the door. (scream) I know I am putting you on the spot, but tomorrow is even bigger than today, is there any way you would like to contribute more?"... uh... YEAH! So, I had to cancel a date with my husband... this was a once in a lifetime chance. Phone rings again... "Cheryl, guess who just walked out IN one of your hats? Paris Hilton! This is were I admit I probably busted Shanna's eardrum LOL.... too cool! Needless to say, I was up most of the night doing more hats and more men's stuff... the next morning I met Shanna at the Style Villa and handed her 18 more pieces! By 6 P.M. Saturday, I had another phone call.... "Cheryl, EVERY piece you brought me this morning is gone!" I am on cloud nine :) .... so, it's 5 weeks later... the photo's I have gotten from the event are still coming in. This is the first opportunity I have had to share my experience with the world and I am still so amazed. I had over 31 pieces selected by other amazing celebrities, but I suppose that's another blog in the making... so, I hope that H2C wear is a name people see and remember! If you love hats, and all kinds of fun edgy apparel please visit http://www.h2cwear.com/ but please remember... new designs are launching in the next 2 weeks so watch for all the new photos... check back often :)
